Today the House Judiciary Committee will hear testimony on Deep Fake legislation, an attempt to put protections in place for Michiganders who may fall victim to AI generated material. Jackson area Representative Sarah Lightner chairs the committee.

A repeal to Michigan’s Red Flag laws have been introduced and referred to the House Judiciary Committee. Representative Lightner said even though she supports the bills, they most likely won’t make it out of her committee.

Representative Lightner will soon introduce legislation that will allow elected officials to carry in gun free zones.
