Jackson, Mich. – On Tuesday night the voting results were announced on NBC’s hit show The Voice, and the voters spoke loud and clear – Brayden Lape had made it to the next round.
Lape, the 16-year-old three-sport athlete from Grass Lake, was one of two contestants that automatically advanced from coach Blake Shelton’s team after public voting took place after Monday’s show.
Lape’s stellar performance of Buy Dirt by Jordan Davis was enough to advance. The results launched Lape to the next round and occurred drama free at the beginning of the results show on Tuesday night.
Lape is now one of 13 contestants remaining on the show now in its 22nd season. He will perform again this Monday night (Nov. 21) with results announced on Tuesday, Nov. 22.
Lape also just completed his second season with the Grass Lake varsity football team. The Warriors finished the season 5-5.
The Voice airs on Monday and Tuesday nights locally on WILX NBC 10. Check local listings. Voting takes place at nbc.com/voicevote.
