Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Ward 1 City Councilmember Arlene Robinson is hosting a voter education event at the YPOP Community Garden at 1107 Maple St. in Jackson on Friday, August 30 at 11 a.m.

The event is in collaboration with State Senator Sue Shink, the League of Women Voters Jackson Area, and the Young People of Purpose (YPOP) leader Diane Washington.

There will be an emphasis on educating younger voters, as well as covering everything voters need to know about participating in the upcoming election on November 5.

The event is free to attend and there will be refreshments, pizza and ice cream.
