Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — TRUE Community Credit Union has announced they are pledging $500,000 to the Jackson Interfaith Shelter over the next five years in hopes of making a major impact in the fight against homelessness.

The donation supports the shelter’s Capital Project, which aims to build a new facility dedicated to providing safe, stable housing and support services for families in need.

TRUE Community Credit Union President and CEO Chrissy Siders called it more than just a donation, saying it’s a commitment to changing lives and offering hope to those seeking stability.

Jackson Interfaith Shelter CEO Steve Castle expressed deep gratitude, saying the gift sends a powerful message to struggling families that they are seen and valued.

Founded in 1974, the shelter has expanded its services to support men, women, and families, currently offering 76 beds.
