Jackson, Mich. — The Jamie McKibbin Memorial Daddy/Daughter Dance takes place this weekend on Friday, February 10th and Saturday, February 11th. The festivities take place from 6pm-8pm both nights at the American 1 Credit Union Event Center,  at the Jackson County Fairgrounds.

The event is in its 23rd year and gives dads, grandfathers, uncles or brothers the chance to take their young daughters, granddaughters, nieces or sisters to a Valentine’s Day dance.

It’s all sponsored by the Jackson Recreation Department and Director Kelli Hoover spoke with WKHM about honoring and remembering Jamie McKibbin through a community event like this one.

J-Rod from K-105.3 will provide the music, snacks are provided from Gene Davis Catering, a corsage from Designs by Judy, a chocolate fountain from Gilbert’s Chocolates, and a photograph from Crossing Photography are included. For more information, call 517-788-4040.
