Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — A male suspect has been lodged at the Jackson County Jail

Jackson Police Department (JPD) responded to an altercation inside a residence in the 300 block of Randolph Street at around midnight on Wednesday. When they arrived, officers found a 30-year-old man in the kitchen with multiple apparent stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 31-year-old male suspect of the stabbing fled in the victim’s pickup truck prior to JPD arriving on scene. About two hours later, the truck was located by Blackman-Leoni Township Department of Public Safety who pursued the vehicle until it crashed into a home on the 1300 block of E. Ganson St. around 2:30am.

After being treated for injuries at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital, the male suspect was lodged at the Jackson County Jail pending formal charges in connection with the stabbing death. His 27-year-old female passenger was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
