
A Spring Arbor couple is being held in a maximum-security Mexican prison after their arrest at a Cancun airport earlier this month. Family members say Paul and Christy Akeo were detained on March 4 over a disputed credit card charge with Palace Resorts.
Local reports claim the couple defrauded a Cancun hotel out of more than $100,000 by canceling transactions, but their daughter, Lindsey Hull, says those allegations are false. She says American Express ruled in their favor and believes her parents were wrongly targeted.
