An 18 year-old man was arrested for shooting at a group of people gathered on a porch in Kalamazoo, Tuesday evening at 7:30PM.

The shooting was observed by a Kalamazoo police officer.

The suspect fled the scene on foot, but was quickly apprehended. Police located the firearm on the suspect. The only person hit by gunfire was the shooter, who shot himself in the leg.

The man faces three felony weapons charges.
