Legislations recently passed by the house and senate would allow pensions for corrections officers. Senator Sue Shink said the bills have not been forwarded to the Governor for her signature and are being held up by House Speaker, Republican Matt Hall. The Senator shared her frustration with WKHM listeners:

Senator Shink is also working on a package of bills that would create a board tasked with reducing prescription drug costs for Michiganders.

The senator did express her support for a package of bills that would promote transparency in Lansing.
