Jackson, Mich. (WKHM, Greg O’Connor) — Westbound I-94 is closed between US 127 and the Elm Ave. exit due to an accident involving a school bus and a semi truck. According to MDOT the accident happened near exit 142.

The freeway has been completely closed. Michigan State Police said there are unknown injuries reported. An update from the Jackson County ISD says this bus was en route to the Lyle Torrant Center, and that initial reports are that three students were injured and taken to the hospital. Eight students were taken back to Torrant and are also being assessed by the school nurse. Parents are being notified.
