Jackson County, MI- 13.5% of families are food insecure. In fact, last year over 18,000 individuals received help from our food assistance programs and emergency pantry.
The Salvation Army receives a large portion of our food from the Food Bank of South-Central Michigan. The Food Bank is part of Feeding America and the Food Bank Council of Michigan.
The Salvation Army of Jackson County is asking for your support in meeting the annual Food Bank Challenge. From April 1st – May 30th, every donation made to our agency’s account-J2040- at the Food Bank, will receive an additional 10%.
Your $25 gift, plus the 10% match, will result in our pantry receiving a minimum of $240 worth of food at wholesale prices.
Supporters may write a check or make a secure online donation to the Food Bank of South-Central Michigan indicating in the memo section. The Salvation Army-Jackson County’s Food Bank Account- J2040.
