Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — A Jackson man is facing felony charges after a road rage incident turned violent.
56-year-old Marcus Leon Burrell was arraigned Monday on a charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm. Police say Burrell and another driver got into a fight Friday evening near Monroe and Wisner Streets after following each other through traffic. During the altercation, Burrell allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed the other man multiple times before fleeing.
The victim, a 28-year-old man, was treated at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital and later released. A witness gave police a license plate number, leading officers to Burrell’s home where he was arrested.
His bond is set at $75,000 and he’s due back in court April 11. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison.
