Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — During State Representative Sarah Lightner’s most recent visit on AM Jackson, one of the topics discussed was a bill that failed to pass the House. The bill was centered on providing driver’s licenses to non-US citizens. Rep. Lightner talked about the problems she had with that bill.
Rep. Lightner also pointed out that the lack of clear distinction between a non-US citizen license and a citizen’s license could lead to confusion and voter fraud.
With the Michigan Senate set to resume its functions next week, Lightner says she hopes that the Senate can see how well put together the House’s road funding plan is.
State Representative Sarah Lightner joins AM Jackson regularly on Tuesdays.
