Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The Jackson County Animal Shelter located on Spring Arbor Rd. is participating in the Bissell Pet Program the month of July, resulting in reduced adoption costs for cats, kittens, and adult dogs. The Bissell Pet Foundation is partnering with over 400 shelters throughout the country this month, including the Cascades Humane Society, to offer reduced pet adoption costs.
According to Amy Kinder, there is never a shortage of animals that come to the Jackson County Animal Shelter in need of a loving home. Every animal that’s in the shelter is listed online at JacksonCountyAnimalShelter.org but meeting an animal in-person before you choose to adopt, especially if you have other pets in the home, is always encouraged.
The shelter is open to the public and has some new additions including indoor living rooms to meet and greet pets one-on-one, and more space to do “what we love to do,” says Kinder.
