The Cascades Humane Society presents Punchlines for Paws on Saturday, November 2nd from 6:00 to 10:00 PM at Jackson College. It’s going to me an evening of comedy with John Heffron. Cascades Humane Society Executive Director is Stefanie Riggs.

“We do yeah we see the the one stepping up to help these incredible creatures that depend on us and then we see ones that have let them down and that’s where Humane Society steps in.”

“So you have a fundraising event coming up?”

We do the Humane Society’s been doing a annual fundraiser every year it was Unleash Your Heart Gala for many years and this year our board in the new Administration decided to switch it up to a punchline for Paws so Jackson has a lot of really cool fun balls and gallas and with that well let’s step out of that zone and try something new.”

“So you have a comedy show?”

“We do yeah John Heffron who’s a local he’s a Michigan guy and he’s pretty popular he’s all over tiktok and YouTube won The Last Comic Standing he’s got a Netflix show and Comedy Central show he’s been on The Late Show The Tonight Show so he’s pretty he’s pretty popular guy and he’s been around for a while and has a pretty good following and we thought a Jackson might enjoy him.”

“So family show or what”

“It is a family show it’ll be it’ll definitely be a family show wholesome he’s funny he loves his dogs and he does a lot of shows in Michigan.”
