Travelers may want to be aware if they have plans to go up north for Memorial Day weekend. A popular hiking trail at Pictured Rocks is closed while workers repair storm damage from last fall.
The one-mile stretch of the north country national scenic trail will remain shut down until July. The trail — plus a large stairway leading to the beach — were both damaged by a storm back in the fall.
