On Wednesday Jackson College Jets basketball will host their annual “pink-out” basketball event with proceeds going to benefit the Jackson YMCA’s Turning Point program. The Turning Point program is designed for breast cancer patients and survivors.

The Jackson College women (15-6, 7-5 MCCAA west) will open the night against Muskegon Community College (18-3, 10-2 MCCAA west). Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM. Jackson has lost 2 straight. In their loss to Grand Rapids CC on Friday Jackson scored a season-low 44 points. Daelyn Merrilat and Taliya Jones led the team with 14 points each.
The Jackson College men (8-15, 5-7 MCCAA west) will take on Muskegon CC (17-4, 12-0 MCCAA west) after the women’s game. These two teams met back on January, 15th in Muskegon and the Jayhawks beat the Jets 85-67. Jackson is coming off of a win on Friday at Grand Rapids CC. The Jets were paced in scoring in the game by Jalen Martin with 23 points. Jets’ leading scorer Marcellus Freeman added 21.
