Parkside Middle School in Jackson is going entirely virtual starting Monday, November 2.
The move came after a school staff member tested positive for COVID-19.
School officials say that the staff member was in contact with up to 57 students and 6 other staff members.
Those in contact have been notified by Jackson Public School to quarantine. None have yet tested positive.
In-person learning will resume Monday, November 9 if there are no additional cases.
The building is scheduled to be disinfected throughout the week.
Those who came in contact with the infected staff member will remain quarantined from the schoolgrounds until Monday, November 16.
