Residents in Jackson’s Fifth Ward have an upcoming opportunity to meet with their City Council representative and learn the latest news from their neighborhood. City Councilmember Shalanda Hunt is holding a neighborhood meeting for the Fifth Ward on Thursday, Feb. 29 at 6:00 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Jackson District Library – Carnegie Branch.
Councilmember Hunt was appointed by the City Council to the vacant Fifth Ward seat in Nov. She organized the neighborhood meeting to formally introduce herself, hear the concerns of residents, and share information about City programs. Ward 5 covers the western half of Downtown Jackson and its surrounding neighborhoods. All residents are welcome to attend. The Jackson District Library – Carnegie Branch is located at 244 W. Michigan
