East Lansing, Mich. (WKHM) — Administrators at Michigan State University say they are planning to use $300,000 in donations to create a memorial to honor the students who were killed or wounded in February’s mass shooting.
The money for the memorial is coming from the $2 million given to the Spartan Strong fund. About $1 million is going to support those directly impacted by the shooting that claimed the lives of three students and sent five more to the hospital.
The permanent memorial will be planned through a collaborative process.
