Dan Greer will hold his first of two Medicare information sessions on Wednesday. It will be a Medicare 101.

“a Medicare 101 educational session coming up sure on October 16th Jackson District Library Meijer Branch”

“beginning at 6 p.m. I would like to have you RSVP with me so we have an idea of how many are going to come and you can call me directly 517 78746.07 you can email me Daniel P Greer at yahoo.com you can text my phone number that’s my only phone number call text leave me a voicemail if I don’t answer I’ll get back to you soon as possible”

“but yeah there’s still space available in October 16th and then we’ll have another one November 13th as well same time same location so what do you get there is it our type session or two strictly educational we do we cannot at an ending educational event we cannot go into plan specifics”

“but we talk about the five parts of Medicare it’s it’s basic highlights of how the system works so if you’re getting ready to turn 65 you know I’ve had people come to these meetings that were two years out oh I’m trying to get ready you know that’s fine we’re more than welcome good idea bring your neighbor bring your friend”

Biggest changes coming up include saying good bye to the donut hole.

“biggest changes this year and 10 years I’ve been doing this we’re getting rid of the donut hole for the prescription drug costs this affects all the benefits of the plans next year”

“2000 dollar maximum out of pocket limit for prescription drug co-pays if you get that fire the combination of the insurance the manufacturers and the government pays the rest of it the rest of the year”

“so this affects all the other benefits of the plans so really important now the good news is Greg”

“it’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be I thought co-pays were going to go up maximum out of pocket limits go through the roof actually there’s not that big a changes”
