Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — With the City of Jackson expected to finalize the sale of the Hotel Hayes to the development group Collier Gibson for $25,000 today, Mayor Daniel Mahoney told WKHM he wanted to emphasize that the switch from the previous buyer, J. Jeffers, to Collier Gibson was not a hasty decision.
Mayor Mahoney also commented on another building the City is working toward selling to Residents in Action, who the Mayor says is waiting on grant money to come in before they can make the purchase.
The City also accepted donations of a couple vacant lots at Tuesday night’s City Council meeting.
