Jackson, Mich. — McKibbin Media Group (MMG) recently celebrated the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for its newest addition: a broadcast studio located within the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce offices in downtown Jackson. The Grand Opening took place Tuesday, October 18, and despite frigid temperatures and the threat of snow, several business professionals, sponsors, and community members attended to celebrate the occasion.

The downtown studio is sponsored by Art Moehn Chevrolet, Tripp’s Collision, Lead Bunker, and County National Bank. Katina McKibbin, President and Owner of McKibbin Media Group, was joined by her son Walker McKibbin to cut the ribbon.

“I think the fact that McKibbin Media Group will have a downtown Jackson presence is something that Jamie McKibbin, who is no longer with us, that was kind of one of his visions too,” commented Dennis Worden, General Manager of McKibbin Media Group, in a recent interview with Greg O’Connor on WKHM. The studio will be utilized regularly as an optional location to host existing radio shows as well as special broadcasts on the Jackson stations, and Worden advises being on the lookout for a schedule of when these live broadcasts will be happening.
