This week the Jackson County Commission received the annual parks report. Jackson County Commission Chairman Steve Shotwell said ever since the millage passed 6 years ago, the parks have seen a lot of improvement.

Jackson County Parks will be putting the call out for volunteer assistance.

In other county news, the sheriff’s department renegotiated their medical contract for the inmates, saving the country roughly eight million dollars.
