Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — At approximately 2:10pm on Saturday, March 30, Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to N. Bunn Rd near W. Bacon Rd for a personal injury crash. Authorities say that initial investigation of the crash showed that a 43-year-old resident of Hillsdale was traveling on Bunn Rd. near West Bacon Rd. in a 2017 Cadillac XT5 when a juvenile ran out into the roadway without looking. The driver was then unable to come to a stop when the juvenile ran into the roadway. They immediately pulled off of the roadway to check on the juvenile.

The juvenile was airlifted to Toledo St. Vincent Hospital to be treated for the injuries sustained in the crash. The cause of the crash is under investigation. The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Reading Emergency Unit, Hillsdale Rural Fire Department, Wauseon Life Flight, Hudson Emergency Unit, and Hillsdale Towing.
