Legendary NASCAR driver, founder of the “Alabama Gang,” Bobby Allison died over the weekend. He was 86.

The NASCAR Hall of Famer won 85 races and had a remarkable 446 top 10 finishes in his 27 year racing career.

One of Allison’s best friends was John Lefere, whom he met and became close friends with in the early 1970s as Lefere took over management of Michigan International Speedway.
