Jackson, Mich. (WKHM, Marc W. Daly) — Blackman Township’s new Jackson Technology Park North has welcomed its first tenant, with more businesses expected to follow. The 145-acre park on County Farm Road recently celebrated the groundbreaking of a new facility for Midbrook Manufacturing & Fabrication, a Jackson-based metal fabricator.
Midbrook is building a 54,000-square-foot facility on two parcels purchased for $8,000. The $5-million project will provide a permanent home for the company, which has operated out of a rented space on Falahee Road for the past decade. The new facility will retain 30 jobs and is expected to add more. Construction is set to finish by the end of 2025.
Jackson Technology Park North was made “shovel ready” in 2022 with water, sewer, and road infrastructure funded by the
Blackman Township Local Development Financing Authority. The park is divided into 10 parcels, and officials hope this first
project will attract more businesses to the remaining sites.
Proceeds from land sales go directly back into the township’s development authority, fueling future growth. More details are available on the authority’s website. More information on Jackson Technology Park North on the Enterprise Group website below.
