The Jackson Police Department are investigating a homicide from Sunday June 2nd, just after 9p.m.

JPD were called to a home in the 400 block of Griswold Street and when they arrived, they discovered a 17-year-old male victim who had been shot in the upper torso area. The victim was located near the backdoor of the home but outside of the residence.

Officers started CPR, the ambulance arrived and rushed the victim to Henry Ford Jackson where he was pronounced dead.

The victim was from Lansing. It is believed the victim was shot from a vehicle traveling east on Griswold Street.

The investigation is in its early stages.
