Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — In Jackson, a case involving 30 deceased cats found in an apartment dumpster has now moved to the prosecutor’s office.

This incident has encouraged others in similar situations to seek help, leading to a surge of cats needing space at the shelter. To make room, the Jackson County Animal Shelter is offering a special “Elect to Adopt in 2024” event with $24 adoption fees.
