Jackson College hired a new Women’s Volleyball coach on Monday.
Travis Wobrock, who previously played volleyball at Adrian College as well as a coach for a number of high school teams and summer programs was excited to make the leap to the collegiate level. “College Volleyball has always been a dream of mine, so I applied for it, and everything worked out,” Wobrock said.
He mentioned that Jackson is somewhat untapped when it comes to volleyball talent. “Jackson County has a lot of talent. A lot of talent that goes unheard of and Jackson College is a great opportunity for schooling and athletics. I think it’s a great opportunity for these local athletes to come to Jackson College and play here,” he said.
Wobrock replaces Kathy Lehman, who stepped down after two years to return to coach at Concord High School.
