Jackson College baseball coach Rick Smith is getting ready to take his team south for five games in Tennessee, but Smith will jump on the red eye back to Michigan for a special Saturday night. He’s being inducted into the St. Clair Community College hall of fame with his 1994 team.

Greg O’Connor asked Smith if there were challenges in coaching junior college sports.

Smith told WKHM he has found some definite advantages coaching at Jackson College.

The baseball Jets open with a pair of doubleheaders Friday and Saturday with Volunteer State and a Sunday game with St. Charles Community College.
