Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Firefighters from the City of Jackson and Summit Township came together yesterday to present a donation of $17,877 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). The funds were raised during this fall’s “Fill the Boot” campaign, an annual fundraising effort led by firefighters across the country to support individuals and families affected by muscular dystrophy.

The donation will directly benefit Michigan families dealing with the condition, providing resources and support through the MDA. This accomplishment places the Jackson and Summit Township firefighters as the fourth-highest fundraising fire departments for the MDA in Michigan this year.

Firefighters expressed their gratitude to the community for their generosity and support, which made this donation possible.
