Jackson, Mich. (Dec. 6, 2022) – In what became a dramatic wait for fans for nearly 30 minutes, Grass Lake’s Brayden Lape advanced to the final round of NBC’s ‘The Voice’ on Tuesday after a rousing live performance of Brett Young’s ‘In Case You Didn’t Know’ Monday night.
Lape advanced as the fourth selection of the show to move on to next week’s finals. Three others had to perform on Tuesday night to get the instant save vote, which finished out the top five finalists.
The 16-year-old three-sport athlete for Grass Lake High School in Michigan, Lape will compete with two of his teammates on coach Blake Shelton’s team. Shelton, coaching in his final season on the show, will have the odds after advancing three of his stars to the final five, including Lape.
The finals of NBC’s ‘The Voice’ will air next Monday night (Dec. 12) at 8 p.m. ET on WILX TV 10 locally. Check local listings.
