A 25-year veteran of the Michigan State Police (MSP) is being promoted to director.
Governor Whitmer has named James Grady the Second to lead the State Police. He currently manages the training division. Grady worked a a trooper in Adrian and Detroit before becoming a detective and supervisor.
He calls it an “incredible honor” to continue serving in the Michigan State Police alongside what he says are the finest troopers in the nation. Grady takes over for Colonel Joe Gasper who is retiring.
