Although Ford says it follows “all government regulations across their business”, two U.S. Congressmen are calling for an investigation into the Chinese companies that Ford is dealing with involving the planned battery facility in Marshall, Michigan. Reuters says the leaders of the Committee on China and Energy and Commerce Committee the representatives sent a letter to President Biden requesting the investigation. They are also requesting the president imposes an export restriction on the four companies that have not been named yet in the request. The letter claims the companies have ties to the Chinese Military, communist party, North Korean Government and alleged human rights abuses.
