Blackmon Leoni Public Safety Continues to investigate a fatal crash Christmas Evening just before 5:30PM. A Five-year-old boy was riding his bike on Blackmon Rd when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 32-year-old man from Jackson.

Blackmon Leoni arrived to find the youngster with severe injuries and provided immediate medical attention, the boy was rushed to Henry Ford Hospital in Jackson where he was pronounced dead.

Officials say alcohol and speed were not factors in the accident, they are asking anyone who may have seen anything to contact them at 517 788 42 23.

No names were released pending a full notification.
