Jackson, Mich. (WKHM, Greg O’Connor) — About six weeks ago, some employees of the Jackson Area Transportation Authority (JATA) came forward to the JATA board with some rather serious allegations of mismanagement, misuse of company resources, employee and equipment safety concerns, and also a charge of working on private vehicles while setting aside bus work.
The JATA board has been conducting an independent investigation for a while now. Executive Director Mike Brown told WKHM he couldn’t say much, but here’s what was said Monday morning:
