Join us at Stomp Out Suicide, an uplifting event to raise awareness and raise funds for suicide prevention in Jackson County! Each year we come together to honor lives lost, celebrate the strength of survivors, and support their friends and families!

LIVE MUSIC

• Kay Harper – Headliner
  • Kay Harper performs as an acoustic duo act called Harper & Wade with local guitarist Cezaar Wade from Jackson, Michigan covering Country, Rock, Soul, and Pop hits through the ages with a highlight of originals. BONUS SPECIAL GUEST PERFORMANCE!
• Steven Trosin – Opening Act
  • Executive Director of the Jackson Symphony Orchestra and will be performing an original acoustic song title “Finding Alright”.

LUMINARY WALK

• Our beloved luminary walk gives participants the opportunity to show support, honor a loved one, or spread positivity. Decorated luminary bags will line our walking path at dusk as we walk through downtown Jackson remembering and honoring lives lost to suicide.

PASSPORT BOOTHS

• We are bringing back our passport booth event which participants can stock up on valuable resources, classes, community supports. Fill out all your passport stamps to be entered to win fantastic door prizes.

ACTIVITIES

• Decorating Luminary Bags
  • Decorate a luminary bag that will light our path during the luminary walk.
•  Selection of Beads
  • Select beads to wear during the event to show your support of various communities.
•  Pebbles of Positivity
  • Painting stones that will be distributed throughout downtown Jackson to spread messages of hope.
•  Mindfulness Meditation Sessions
  • Participate in a guided meditation led by a professional to find inner peace and relaxation.
•  Letters of Hope
  • Write short messages of encouragement and support to individuals who might be struggling. The Jackson County Suicide Prevention Coalition will be sharing these to social media throughout the year.
