COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY PRESENTS SHOW ME THE MONEY DAY 2024:
CONNECTING JACKSON RESIDENTS WITH AFFORDABLE FINANCIAL AND
COMMUNITY RESOURCES
(JACKSON, MI, April 2, 2024) – Community Action Agency, a local nonprofit dedicated to economic self-sufficiency, is excited to announce their upcoming Show Me the Money Day (SMTMD) event in Jackson. This FREE event, scheduled for April 18th, is designed to provide community members with access to essential financial products, community resources,
workshops, and an enjoyable experience for all ages.
Show Me the Money Day events are hosted by Community Economic Development Association
of Michigan (CEDAM) members each year. The events promote opportunities to save, increase income, and build assets — like local free tax preparation services. CEDAM members host these events annually across Michigan from January to June, bolstering a statewide movement to remove economic barriers and advance financial empowerment.
In 2023, Show Me the Money Day events reached an impressive 1,907 Michigan residents.
Notably, 37% of attendees came from households with incomes under $30,000, demonstrating
the event’s accessibility to diverse socioeconomic groups. Survey results revealed that an overwhelming 80% of participants felt more hopeful about their financial future after attending
Show Me the Money Day.
