Fourth of July in Brooklyn

PARADE
10 a.m. – Parade in Downtown Brooklyn
Presented by the Brooklyn July 4th Committee
Parade participants line up on Irwin St at 9:30
M-50 closed at 9:30 for pre-parade activities around the village square that include:
- Patriotic Hat Contest (decorate a hat in the red, white and blue and win a prize – all ages and genders welcome – think Kentucky Derby)
- Cake Walk
- Sing Alongs
- Food truck and art activity at Kate’s Art School
- Pete’s (pronounced Peeties) Donuts
- All Saints Episcopal Church available for parking and open for prayer for our nation
- Cotton Candy at Village Peddler Gift Shoppe
- Presbyterian Church open with free bottled water and bathroom facilities
- Temporary tattoos for the kids by Effin Senses
- Donut Wall
- Participants include Jackson College Band Camp marching band, the MIS Pace Car, Miss Jackson Crossroads Payton Louder, Columbia School sports teams, Scouts, etc.
FIREWORKS
Spectacular Fireworks at dark produced by Night Magic Displays.
