Jackson, Mich. (WKHM, Greg O’Connor) — Jackson County Sheriff Gary Schuette announced on social media the grim news that a member of his team was killed Saturday in a vehicle accident.
Deputy Christopher Davis, with the Sheriff’s department for two years, was killed in an accident at the intersection of Mount Hope & Seymour Roads in Waterloo Township. No other details of the accident, including the cause, have been released, and no formal press release yet from the Sheriff’s office.
Davis was a graduate of Michigan Center High School and was working full-time in Parma Township. Davis recently won the Sheriff’s highest honor “The Star of Valor.” Sheriff Schuette said Chris was an outstanding deputy and an integral part of the department.
