The Michigan Public Service Commission is putting Consumers Energy on the defensive. The Commission directed consumers to show cause why it shouldn’t be held in violation for billing and service quality issues. In July, an investigation was opened for complaints about non-working meters, abnormally high estimated bills, and meters not properly working.
The order directs Consumers to file testimony on its many issues and show cause by November 14th for a string of code violations. Meanwhile, a pre-hearing is scheduled for December 4th.
