Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Big changes could be coming to Downtown Jackson with plans to transform the historic Hotel Hayes. On Friday, residents learned more about the project, which includes a clothing boutique, a bookstore-wine bar, a restaurant, and event space.

Led by J. Jeffers and Co., the renovation will create a mix of residential, retail, and office spaces. Developers say construction is set to begin this spring, with some space still available for lease.

Locals hope the project will breathe new life into the iconic building and spark new memories for the community.
