Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — On his most recent conversation on AM Jackson, U.S. Congressman Tim Walberg talked about the SAVE Act that recently passed the House of Representatives.
Congressman Walberg pushed back on critics who say the act makes the voting process too difficult for some, saying in response that the bill provides a variety of methods for proof of citizenship:
Four House Democrats voted in favor of the bill, with Congressman Walberg saying that he believes the SAVE Act should receive more bipartisan support.
He also believes that President Trump’s recent actions involving tariffs will pay off by being able to negotiate better deals with foreign countries.
Congressman Walberg is introducing a bill to the House that would require schools to notify the parents of students who express that they want to change their gender identity in order to receive federal funding.
