At its Tuesday meeting the Jackson City Council approved changes to City Manager Patrick Burtch’s employment agreement by a vote of 5-2, sweetening his benefits and termination specifics. Councilmen Jeromy Alexander and Will Forgrave opposed the changes. MLive quoted Forgrave as saying “The position already pays more than five times that of a typical Jackson household’s annual income, and more than city managers positions within similar communities in the state, with benefits to match.”
