Police officers and firefighters with the City of Jackson are hosting a community blood drive next Tuesday in partnership with Versiti Blood Center of Michigan. On January 14, the blood drive will go on from 1:00pm through 5:15pm in the Grand Ballroom in the 1st floor of the Commonwealth Commerce Center at 209 E. Washington Avenue.

Walk-ins are welcomed, and an online link to register for a spot is available at the City of Jackson’s Facebook page. Attempting donors who donate blood will be entered for a chance to win two tickets to the NFC Divisional Round Detroit Lions game at Ford Field in Detroit on Jan. 18 or 19. If you plan to give blood, it is recommended to eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of water before donating.
