The new equipment purchased by the City of Jackson will begin to be utilized beginning on Monday 11/25.  The initial leaf pick-up efforts will be in the Southwest section of the City.

City residents are asked to rake their leaves into the parkway between the sidewalk and the street.  If the property has no parkway then residents should rake leaves to the edge of the property near the street.  Do not rake leaves past the curb and into the street.  According to a post on the City of Jackson website there is the possibility for fines related to raking leaves into the street.  The City will no longer accept bagged leaves.
