Jackson Mayor Derek Dobies on WKHM Monday morning talked about a possible arrangement with Consumers Energy for water that the council put a hold on for a closer look. Consumers then filed a lawsuit.

Dobies said he believes the water contract with the city expired in 2010, and the city just wants a fair system like the one Consumers uses to charge their customers for usage.
