Entries are being accepted now for the 95th edition of the City Championship golf tournament, scheduled for June 6-13 at the Country Club of Jackson.  Qualifying rounds will take place on the 6th to set the 32-player field and match play will begin on the 7th.  The 36-hole championship match will happen on the 13th.

All Jackson County residents are eligible for the tournament.  The tournament is also open to those living outside of the county who graduated from a Jackson County high school or college, previously played in a Jackson masters or City Championship, or are employed in the the county.  There is no longer a handicap limit.

The entry fee for the tournament is $120 except for high school students who pay $75.  The Jackson Golf Committee increased the fee in order to hold the tournament at the county’s highest quality courses and to maintain an ample prize fund.  Players who do not qualify for match play will receive a $20 gift certificate.

Entry forms are available at the Country Club of Jackson, Cascades, Ella Sharp Park, and Arbor Hills pro shops.  Registration can also be done online at jacksongolf.net.

The entry deadline is Wednesday, June 3rd at 5:00 PM.
