Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The 3rd annual K105.3 Fall Fest & Chili Classic is set to kick off at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30 in downtown Jackson. The festival, organized by McKibbin Media Group (MMG), features the longstanding tradition of the Chili Classic (formerly known as the K105.3 Chili Cook-Off), live music by local & regional performers, a kids’ kingdom organized by the Jackson DDA with free fall-themed activities for all ages, and a variety of vendors.
The weather forecast is favorable for an outdoor event: mostly sunny with a high of 75 degrees.
Patrons wishing to taste chili can purchase a wristband for $5.00 (cash only) starting at 12:00 p.m. at one of the radio station tents on W. Michigan Ave. between Jackson Street and Mechanic Street. However, be advised that tasting officially begins at 2:00 p.m., which is when patrons with a wristband can start sampling any and all of the chili and salsa from 40+ competing teams.
